MSU Holmes Cultural Diversity Center hosting exhibition, studio with 'A Peace of My Mind' creator
On Jan. 29 (noon-6 p.m.), 30 (10 a.m.-6 p.m.) and 31 (10 a.m.-4 p.m.), is hosting "A Peace of My Mind: American Stories" exhibition in Section M of Colvard Student Union's Foster Ballroom.
Based on award-winning Minnesota photographer John Noltner's 40,000-mile journey across the U.S., the exhibition consists of 52 inspiring stories with portraits of diverse people whom Noltner asked, “What does peace mean to you?â€
Upon request, Noltner can conduct a tour of the exhibition. Faculty and staff who are interested in a tour for their class or student organization are encouraged to email Kei Mamiya at kmamiya@saffairs.msstate.edu.
On Thursday [Jan. 30] from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Noltner will hold a studio in Foster Ballroom (Section M). All are welcome to participate. Noltner will take a photograph of each interested individual and will collect his/her story based on questions about valuing differences and finding unity at º£½ÇÒùĸÂÒÂ×. Portraits from the studio will be shared at a later date.
